NEST’s second “Focus Area”, the blocks of Witler Street, Hanfield Street and Lakeman Street needed significant improvement in the housing stock. NEST began working in this area to eliminate vacancy, build new homes on empty lots and combat blight by offering homeownership opportunities.

These housing projects were subsidized by the City of Cincinnati’s NOFA, NSP, and HOME funding awards. Some homes were sold under income-restrictions, offered homebuyer down-payment assistance through City and Federal funding programs or both.

1. 4115, 4121, and 4129 Witler: 3 new construction single-family homes, LEED-certified and all electric. The project is now under construction, homes will be listed for sale in late 2026.
