NEST Egg, launched in 2019, leverages grants and philanthropic donations to provide soft second mortgages to qualified homebuyers, bringing the dream of homeownership within reach! Eligible recipients receive grants equal to 10% of the home purchase price up to $15,000.

NEST administers the grant funds during property closing by applying the grant funds as a credit to the homebuyer, meaning homebuyers need to borrow less and can have smaller monthly mortgage payments! NEST Egg can be combined with down-payment assistance programs offered by the City of Cincinnati and private lending institutions.

Grant recipients must be:

• At or below 80% of Hamilton County Area Median Income (subject to income verification)

• Purchasing a home offered for sale by NEST

• Remain in the home for 10 years
