NEST is grateful that Quick Strike funds from HomeBase Cincinnati and City of Cincinnati made it possible for us to purchase this long-vacant building at the gateway to the historic Northside neighborhood business district in the summer of 2024. The Duke Energy Foundation’s Urban Revitalization Initiative provided an early predevelopment grant, and Cincinnati Preservation has provided one of their Preservation Loan Fund loans to assist with predevelopment planning for this historic structure. Chroma Architecture + Design and Advantage Structural Engineers are our partners in preserving this building. With help from the Neighborhood Business District Improvement Program, a partnership of the City of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Neighborhood Business Districts United, we will stabilize the wood-frame building, with work expected to begin in late 2025.
